Once upon a time, before trail running, before Parkour, we hiked up various mountains in South Africa and ran down like crazy people… we called it Extreme Jogging. This blog is a tribute to the good old days, friends & family, my Creator and everybody that love running in nature!
My runs will not all be extreme, but I will attempt to always have fun, avoid tar and take many photographs. The runs are logged using Endomondo and graded in accordance with the Wildrunner Trail Grading system.
Extremeness: Tough climb and technical single track
Location: Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Joggers: Deryck Nel & me
On Saturday morning Deryck and I were back in Jonkershoek - picking up our distance to 15km. We started on 3 sections of the Canary trail and then headed away from the gate on the contour path. We descended down the middle section of Never Ending and then took the upper Jonkershoek loop road on our way back.
