Today was our first run of 2013! Given the heat, we planned our run to be in the shadow of Pieke for most of the route. We started on the Eastern jeep track, climbing all the way to the highest contour route below Pieke. We then linked to the new MTB downhill track above Canary before we headed out of Jonkershoek towards Saaltjie. Just below Saaltjie we hit the down-hill and picked up the pace for the last 6km...
