Jonkers New Loop Trail Run

Our trail grading: ORANGE 6B
Distance: 13km
Extremeness: Tough climb, technical single track & heat heat heat
Location: Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Joggers: Deryck Nel & me

I was still cautious to put distance on my calf, so we decided to do an Eastern loop in Jonkers. We decided to explore a newly built single track which turned out to be awesome, but still a fairly tough climb. It is also not finished, so we had to do some bundu bashing for about 30m to get to the contour jeep track. We linked to Never Ending and picked up the pace. Unfortunately the downhill took its toll and at 9km my calf pain came back. It was a slow last 4km back to the gate...
